Single-step, dry, low energy, scalable to very large areas its a Fast but Cold process. On any substrate. 30 – 500 nanometer molecular layer grafted with covalent bonds onto the activated surface with no loss in functionality
Durable modification of the chemical composition of the surface
Extremely wide range of precursor molecules (organic, inorganic, biomolecules, nano-particles…)
Valves have a large range of applications, both domestically and within industry, e.g. mining. Overtime, a layer of fouling can form inside pipelines. An example of this fouling is calcium carbonate, which is a very hard limescale formation. This fouling can build up to an extend that pipes and valves can stop working. This can stop production and increase the operational risk. At this point, the valve is rendered unserviceable and needs to be cleaned or replaced.Find Out More
An European funded project to monitor rails for early signs of defects enabling sections to be replaced before they actually fail. Planned maintenance can therefore be scheduled to avoid delays to passengers or freight. The
project ran from 2008 to 2009 and more details can be found on the project website at http://www.monitorail.eu.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration under Grant agreement number 262194.
This was a UK government funded project to develop high speed non-destructive testing of composite airframes for the aerospace and defence industries. We started work in January 2014 with a successful completion in August 2017, partnering with a number of key players including TWI, Brunel University and InnotecUK.Find Out More
